Verbaudet Kids' Swimwear review

As soon as they saw me opening the package that the postie had dropped off at The Madhouse, just by looking at the brightly coloured and patterened fabrics, Pierre and Juliette instantly knew that they'd be the proud recipients of some new swimwear !

For Juliette, there was a pink spotty print one-piece swimsuit which has an RRP of £14-£18 'depending on size). She loves all the attention to detail, such as the little bow on the shoulder strap, the frills at the bottom and the crossover straps at the back. It also comes with a little bag which is handy for keeping other poolside essentials such as swimming hat or sunglasses together.

Pierre received these rather funky blue checked swimming trunks (or swim shorts, as they're called on the Vertbaudet website, which is handy to know if you can't find them with the searchbox - I had trouble and I knew what I was looking for !). They are mid-thigh length and he thinks they look very grown up ! They have an elasticated waist and a drawstring to tighten them up, if necessary. They have an RRP of £12-£16 but are currently in the sales with 50% off, although they are only available in the larger sizes now.

Well, it may have been grey and drizzly outside but the Madhouse Mini-testers couldn't wait to try them on. Dreaming of slapping on the sun cream and splashing about in the pool in Morocco already?

star rating : 4.5/5

RRP : £14-18 for the swimming costume, £12-£16 for the swim shorts
